Honoring a Legacy of Service

VET 9 is proudly named in honor of the life and legacy of the late Dr. Ahmad Alajlouni (1939 - 2023). When Dr. Alajlouni graduated from the University of Baghdad in 1969 , he became the 9th veterinarian in Jordan and dedicated his life to the profession and the service of his country with honor and great pride. Following decades of service at the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Alajlouni was elected to head the national union of Veterinarians three times consecutively. His legacy will continue to inspire our work both at VET 9 and our sister organization Al-Yarmouk Nonprofit.

Do good — sustainably

VET9 is Al-Yarmouk's own veterinary clinic, registered as a non-profit business under Jordanian law. We charge for our services, but no profit goes to shareholders. Every dinar is reinvested — into better care, a stronger team, and Al-Yarmouk's welfare programs, including our free spay program for owned female dogs, our sanctuary for blind dogs, and a 50% discount on all services for rescued animals. This is what makes our work sustainable: the clinic funds the mission. Visit Al-Yarmouk's website to learn more.

Alleviate suffering one puppy at a time

VET9 runs Al-Yarmouk's FREE spay program for owned female dogs. Fewer unwanted puppies means fewer dogs in the streets over time — and less suffering for both dogs and people. It's an act of mercy: a puppy unborn is a puppy spared.
